The Swansea Bay City Deal Skills and Talent programme aims to deliver solutions to bridge the current and future skills gaps in South West Wales. The programme is a collaboration between the private and public sectors with a fantastic example of pilot projects to deliver on the skills needs identified.
The pilot projects are the result of direct feedback from employers in the region who have highlighted the need for specific skills within their workforce in our industry cluster groups and through the RLSP survey.
The team has been proactive by working with local businesses and institutions to develop tailored training programs, created to not only upskill current employees but also to provide comprehensive training for the future workforce.
